It is a sequel to the 2007 film Welcome, featuring an ensemble cast that includes Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal reprising their roles from the prequel. John Abraham and Shruti Haasan are new additions to the lead cast. The film was released worldwide on 4 September 2015.[2]

Welcome is a 2007 Indian masala[2] comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwala &Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures.[3] The film features a large ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, Malika Sherawat[4] and Feroz Khan in last film appearance,[5] whilst Sunil Shettymakes a guest appearance and Malaika Arora Khan appears in an item number.[6]
Welcome released worldwide on 21 December 2007, to mixed critical reviews and despite initial competition from Taare Zameen Par,[7][8] was a strong financial success at the box office both in India[9] and overseas.[10]
